Jodie+David

Alright y’all, if you still do not know, I am one out of five girls.

That’s right.

Five.

I have blogged about Ginni(she had to go and be all unique with her name), Jill, and Joy.

The eldest is Jodie.

Hans and I finally got to photograph her. And my brother-in-law, David!

They came to visit Khang and I here in Charlotte–the firsts from our immediate families! Of course, she and I did not want to miss the opportunity to do a little photo sesh.

Just some background info, they have been together for over 17 years.

It’s absolutely crazy to think about…I mean, I was like 11 when they started dating!?

I’m not one to put a huge emphasis on the number of years, but during the photoshoot, I felt like they had their own silent language.

With a slight eye squint and subtle smirk, it looked like an entire conversation occurred within mere seconds.

But I guess that’s what happens when you’re so in tune with someone.

I had to look away a few times because it felt intimate and private.

When I looked through their scans, it was very evident what I saw that day wasn’t just in my head.

Just scroll down and you’ll see.

We started our beautiful morning at Bryant Park.

Looking so dapper!

A quick outfit change and we were off to Freedom Park.

At first, I was upset with myself with the light. But I soon realized it forced me to filter through, refocus and allowed me to take in her beauty shadow by shadow.

It’s she just gorgeous?! I always thought so.
These next few shots had me in a daze for a good week.

Light was perfect.

Weather was perfect.

They are perfect.

And even after 17 years, their love looks brand spanking new.

And while we are on this topic of “new”. I can honestly say it feels like there is a big shift happening in their relationship.

I loved hearing all about their future plans together and I’ve never seen or heard my sister look or sound so determine and excited for change.

Change is so so good.

It makes these photos mean more that I was able to give to them.

Look at the light reflecting off of her eyelashes! Gosh, Hans never seizes to amaze me with what he captures.

Jodie shared with me that she likes to sway for David whenever she gets all dolled-up, so we sweetly ended with that.

Thank you to Chi Jodie and Anh David for allowing me to capture a glimpse of your love. We loved having y’all here and welcome you back anytime!

Love you both so very much and I cannot wait to see what God has planned for you two.

As always, thank you for reading and following along

with me,

Jules.
